Sophie DeWitt
ABOUT SOPHIE
Sophie Dewitt is a creative director, photographer, filmmaker and MFA graduate from the Department of Critical Media Practices at CU Boulder. Working primarily in poetic and expository modes, her media addresses issues of gender, tourism, and American histories of conflict through the influence of anthropology, sociology and ethnography.
Her primary interests include travel, media, politics, the environment, music, food and culture. She aims to contribute to socially impactful work with a small environmental footprint.
Education:
Dewitt is an MFA graduate in DCMP at CU Boulder. She holds a BA in Comparative Sociology and Spanish at the University of Puget Sound.
Awards & Nominations:
She holds a Certificate in Photography from the Boulder Digital Arts Center, and was awarded an Anderson Ranch Arts Center Scholarship.
